Bruce Dickinson's sweatshirt in The Book of Souls World Tour - REVEALED

One of the most commented things during the world tour of The Book of Souls was Bruce's choice to wear this black sweatshirt for most part of the show.
At first itwas conjectured that it could be some sort of medical order, to protect Bruce from any cold or dry ice effects or other effects involving smoke, since he has recently undergone a treatment for throat and tongue cancer.

However, as the tour went on, he continued to wear the sweatshirt (even in shows where the heat was immense, as in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) and we began to try to understand it as part of Bruce's imagery for his presentation. As we all know, Bruce is very fond of engaging a bit of drama in his performances, and he also has a great love for the theatre. We also know that sometimes Bruce likes to justify why he wears certain clothes. When asked, for example, why he wears full pilot uniform, he stated that it is a matter of "professional courtesy."

However, in this case, the reason for the sweatshirt was another. Notice what is written on the sleeve of the blouse:

Did you see the word RAVENOUS?

Well, the second son of Bruce and Paddy, Griffin Dickinson, besides being the vocalist of  SHAPES, also owns a clothing line, whose name is RAVENOUS. The sweatshirt used by Bruce on tour was part of Ravenous's winter catalog, and can even be purchased at http://www.weareravenous.com/.

This was not the first time father Bruce had worn something associated with his children (their branding or bands). This photo below shows Bruce walking quietly, wearing a T-shirt from Rise to Remain, a band of which his eldest son, Austin, was the vocalist.

Pure marketing or paternal affection, it does not make much difference in the end. The sweatshirt ended up fitting nicely into Bruce's acting, and we all ended up enjoying its effect on the stage, in moments especially like this:

Uma das coisas mais comentadas durante a turnê mundial de The Book of Souls foi a escolha de Bruce de usar este moletom preto, durante a maior parte do show.
A princípio, chegou a ser conjecturado que poderia ser alguma espécie de ordem médica, para proteger Bruce de qualquer friagem ou efeitos do gelo seco ou outros efeitos envolvendo fumaça, haja visto que ele passou recentemente por um tratamento para o câncer na garganta e na língua.

No entanto, conforme a turnê foi passando, e ele continuou a usar o moletom (mesmo em shows onde o calor era imenso, como no Rio de Janeiro, Brasil) e passamos a tentar entendê-lo como parte do imaginário de Bruce para sua apresentação, afinal, como bem sabemos, Bruce gosta muito de envolver um pouco de drama em suas apresentações, e possui também um grande amor pelo teatro. Sabemos, também, que, por vezes, Bruce gosta de justificar o motivo pelo qual ele usa certas roupas. Quando perguntado, por exemplo, porque ele usa uniforme completo de piloto, ele afirmou que é uma questão de "cortesia profissional".

No entanto, neste caso, o motivo para o moletom foi outro. Repare no que está escrito na manga da blusa:

 Conseguiu ver a palavra RAVENOUS?

Muito bem: o segundo filho de Bruce e Paddy, Griffin Dickinson, além de ser vocalista da banda SHAPES, possui também uma linha de roupas, cujo nome é RAVENOUS. O moletom usado por Bruce na turnê fazia parte do catálogo de inverno da Ravenous, e pode, inclusive, ser adquirido na loja virtual http://www.weareravenous.com/.

Essa não foi a primeira vez que papai Bruce usou algo associado aos filhos (sua marca de roupas ou bandas). Essa foto abaixo registra Bruce caminhando tranquilamente, usando uma camiseta da Rise to Remain, banda da qual seu filho mais velho, Austin, era vocalista.

Puro marketing ou carinho paternal, não faz  muita diferença no final. O moletom acabou se encaixando muito bem na atuação de Bruce, e acabamos todos gostando do efeito dele no palco, em partes especialmente como essa:
